About Transcription and Insights
Everything you need to know about Translingo's transcription tool and post-event insights.
Event and session creation
Simply start by creating an event or standalone transcription session from your dashboard.
How Translingo captures transcription
From your event page, start transcription using the mic from your own device, or share the speaker link to record from a different device. Translingo does not save the audio at any point during the session. Only the transcription.
Event sessions vs stand-alone sessions
Translingo allows you to create two types of sessions:
Event sessions are attached to a specific event, conference or tour. So, post-event you'll find all session transcriptions within this event.
Stand-alone sessions are not attached to a specific event, but created on the fly. Let's say you have an adhoc meeting or event. Simply create a stand-alone session directly from your dashboard.
Beginning and ending the transcription
The transcription begins the moment your press the blue microphone button. This buttons turns red, as shown below.
It's also possible to pause the session with the pause button next to it. Let's say you have a 15-min break during your session. Resume where your left.

Before ending your sessions, make sure the text is displayed in black non-italic text. The text in italic grey is not added to your transcription yet, and is still being processed.

After the event: Insights & Chat
The moment you stop recording, you'll be asked what kind of insights you want to generate.
Output type: ranging from basic summaries to socials content
Style: ranging from detailed to concise to SEO boosted
Let's say you want to generate a different summary, with more details. Or instead of a newsletter, you rather want to have a LinkedIn post. Just press the button Generate New Insights. Or, if you're not happy with this new version, go back to a previous one through Version History.
